MASS Architects

Located in Al-Manar compound in Shuwaikh, this small cafe was designed with the aim of balancing stylish functionality and maximum seating capacity. Our group created a mezzanine floor for the kitchen, thereby opening the entire ground floor for seating. A feature was created to conceal all the kitchen and waiter services while at the same time creating a unique and enjoyable atmosphere for the cafe patrons. The wall itself is composed of four layers. Behind the wooden veneer there is a PIXEL lighting system that provides a unique and luminous appearance. This system can alter colors depending on the desired atmosphere. The last two layers are composed of a sound and moisture insulation sheet to ensure maximum protection from the elements.
